Depends on Weather, most years Trolling is what works best until April , but this year very Mild and no Ice so they may be on the reefs early. also daylight is a key longer days is a major factor, along with water Temp.
so many things to consider, I live close so we go after work on nice days , not sure if I would make a long drive in March to Jig. although who knows with this crazy weather . best to watch fishing reports or call area bait shops, Happy Hooker along with Butch and Denny's I know both Owners and they would give honest reports.
