Stayed at Lakeside this past week. Got out to fish three days, dodging the strong winds.

Day 1: 6 Walleye 6.4mi E of Kellys Spoons & Dipseys on #3 85 ft and 135ft back. 47ft of water.
Day 2: 2 Walleye Drifting and Flipping 1mi SE of Kellys. 35ft of water.
Day 3: 5 Walleye 2mi SE of Kellys Spoons & Dipseys on #3 135 to 150 feet back 44ft of water.

These were all FAT 18-22inchers. I bleed them out in the livewell before placing on ice. Fillets come out white like ocean fish from the grocery. Any fish recipe works great this way.

Got a great tip from Hi-Way Bait & Tackle before day 3. "Don't be afraid to put your spoons right on the bottom. Walleyes are there. I actually came up with a bit of mud on one dipsey but I was getting bit so I did not care.

Lastly, I fish alone often. This was my first week with new Furuno Navpilot 300 Autopilot. Don't know that the brand matters but I wish I had put Autopilot on my boat years ago. Free hands are invaluable and never a tangled line.

Tight Lines Everyone!
