    Default Put-In-Bay

    A friend and I are planning to come up to Put-In-Bay Feb 9th and 10th. We were just wondering how the ice looks up there now. Should there be safe ice around that time? My email is [email protected]

    Default Good Put-in-Bay ice fishing contact

    A good contact on the island is John Hageman, Manager of OSU's Stone Lab and licensed ice fishing guide. He can answer questions about the island in winter and ice fishing, not to mention his wealth on info on Lake Erie.

    fished there sat.between put n bay and green all in all good ice anywhere from 5'' to 13'' but with mild to warm weather, rain,and strong current coming i would check daily before planning that trip...Caught some nice "eyes" though three guys 14 fish good productive day.good luck!
