    Default Mazurik closure

There is a sign posted at Mazurik access announcing a closure of the area starting Monday June 11 thru thurs June 14 to sealcoat the area. I was there today and the parking lot was almost completely full. Next week there will be a lot of pissed off fishermen when they show up and can't launch. As anyone who has been out lately knows, the fishing has been the best in years. Why do the job in prime time. Terrible planning.

    Typical government thinking.

I launched out of Mazurik 4 times this last week and and the place was crowded. Who is in charge of scheduling these projects? Only an idiot would plan such a project during the busiest time of the year. No one is going to be upset if the job is moved toward the end of the season. I'm sure there are other places that need work just as badly so the workforce keeps busy and get their paychecks and we fishermen will not be, as the man said, pissed off. I know it is too late to stop this unless someone knows somebody who knows somebody who cares.

At least 2. It will take a day to actually get all the trucks out of the lot. Then a day to do the work.

Yes, it's open...they never did the work this past week. They did, however, start over at the Catawba parking lot, and that stupid pothole is finally gone....you all know the one.
