Adjust the screw. What do you think they used before braid?

i fish the central basin and most times fish in rough water. if the screw is to loose all i get is false releases. i still get a few with the screws set tight enough so there not releasing all the time. and it still takes a pretty good jerk to trip a diver out 150' to 200' when the fish are deep.
just want to add if its working for you then that's great. stick with what works, right? i don't really know what was used before braid for divers. but just because it works doesn't mean mono is better than braid. to each there own. i'll stick with braid myself.Last edited by sherman51; 02-14-2018 at 02:58 PM.

Hi Jim from Volga South Dakota. I really appreciate the information and suggestions you've provide me on my trips to Lake Erie. You always provide great direction which in turn resulted in great trips for our group. Not many are as open with advice as you are.
Thanks again Jim.
