Lighted Offshore planer boards
Novice needing advice on lighted planer boards. December 1, we fished east of Kelly's, (CP Dump area); limited out on walleye. Great trip. Upon returning to Mazurik's around dark, I noticed several guys trolling lighted planer boards near shore. Looks like another tactic worth pursuing.
I ordered the Nite Bite Lites. My question, is it better to attach nite bite lites to flag or board? They offer either in instructions.
If attached to board itself, will lite glow enough to see flag? I'm asking if anybody has used this product and can offer advice.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks to everyone for posting on forum this past year, very successful learning curve for me with a freezer full of perch & walleye...and great memories to boot!

You don’t have to worry about seeing flags the board drops back and shows the bite immediately. The lights and really short leads at night makes it real easy to see a board drop. I use the tea lights and Velcro (clear like you get with ezpass) and attach it to the black mount that holds the first clip. I can see the flag but do not need to. There are nights when they are aggressive and you will hear the flag hit the board on a good strike. If you Facebook erie nite bite there is a group that discusses in depth the night bite.
