we have jet 40s

Others have mentioned the precision trolling info being off. In my experience it may be a little off and you're probably running a little deeper than it says you are. Just the other day I was fishing 22-26fow and my Bandit out 115 didn't ever hit the bottom to my knowledge. Speed and line width are factors obviously too. Basically, spend enough time out there with different leads of line out and you'll figure out how much line you need to get down where you want. For instance, I saw a thread on here last year that a guy said his jet 40's ran 33ft down with 100ft line out. Precision trolling has a Jet 40 at 25ft down with 100ft line out. I think the answer for me is somewhere in between. Maybe some others can chime in with their knowledge?
