x2 on Prkr's post there are places to dock and possibly camp in the TC area. Give them a lookover this spring.

Hey Pzeiler and capt tacky how bad are the zebra mussels on your outdrive at the end of the year. I dock on the main channel reno beach side and I get a lot on mine I'm wondering if it's being on the channel as apposed to back in the dock channels. A friend of mine docks off the tousaint where wakina is and he gets none on his but maybe because that flows out.
Thanks Matt
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I have very few. Maybe a handful that collect around one of my depth finder probes off the back of the boat.

They are not bad .the mussels do not attach to the bottom . I have my bottom with barrier coat and bottom paint have not had to do anything but power wash it. I do have a few on the out drive but they easily wash off I don't think they are worse here than anyplace else on the lake.
Pkr 314 is a friend of mine and what he said is all true also..
THE Bigest thing if I were you to consider is if you move to Meinke West it is a additional 45 minute drive each way to your boat. Would that influence and how much you would use it....for me it is only 7 miles from home .
I am on G slip they have 30 ' between docks and can easily handle boats to 40 ' long . Water and electric at the dock.
I wish you well with your decision. What ever you choose the next few years are going to be great with the recent large perch and walleye hatches

Channel Grove in East Harbor is a great place... more expensive, but you have drive up to your boat docking, and it's the first marina in East Harbor. Plus it is 4 miles to the South Side of Kelley's and only 5 miles to South Bass...
What you spend on a dock will be saved in fuel!
PS- I may be considered bias in my opinion of Channel Grove... but I still think I'm right.

Welcome to Channel grove my friend. You have just joined the friendliest Fishing marina around. I can't wait to talk and fish near you. Please feel free to call or stop by the boat anytime. We are in dock 74. Most of us at Channel grove work great together. The new owners are awesome it's gonna be a great year!!!
