Pretty much ditto for Gull Shoal. Seemed to be a mid-day bite.
We started Saturday near Lucy's Point at 9:15 but it was a slow pick with only 6 fish in an hour. Tried a few other spots and ended up with you on the South side of Gull at 11:30 in 42 FOW. Left with 2 limits at 1:30, 18 lbs.
Sunday was right sporty early. 30 kt gusts were forecast and I believe that was just about right. Took a few tries to convince the anchor to stick. Slow pick for us with a lot of short fish throwbacks until about 11:00 when the grown ups showed up, then we were done by noon. Another 18 lbs.
2 sheephead, 2 short walleyes, 3 white bass.
Great weekend !

Weekend Bite was Nice
On Saturday, we started at Lucy's Point as well. There, it was quite slow. And there, we kept waiting for the Bite to improve (14 Keepers in 3 hours). Moved to the western side of Kelly's, at mid-island, and hammered the Perch (46 Keepers in 2 hours).
Sunday was a different story all together. Windier, and more difficult finding the Perch. The bite was slow, and we did not limit. Though we did pull in a dozen of Walleye, from 4" - 14".
As everyone states - the Perch bite has been good thus far, this year. And too - we are encouraged - with the increased Walleye activity.
