Having read your posting made me think of something I discovered a few years back. Using a gps we checked the distance from Cullen park to the harbor light and then checked the distance from Anchor point/Meinkes and found the difference was less than half a mile. Sure seems like Meinkes should be farther but it isn't. I use both depending on wind direction and where bait is located.
