Sat night Middle Harbor Shoal
Fished from 8:30 until 11:30 PM anchored in 6-7 FOW. Took 4 nice 27 to 29 inchers. Green Tiger HJ 10 and Purple DHJ. Moderate retrieve sometimes ticking bottom. Stopped when wind layed down. Beautiful night to be out.

Also called Short Reef. Be careful the hump is a good ways from the can. I have lost 2 props there over the years fooling around in that shallow water.

It's one of my favorite places to fish in the fall. Too much boat traffic during the season. By Halloween it's quiet and the fish are there. I've had to retire a few blue/chrome husky jerks that the fish chewed up. You're right, the rocks aren't near the can. It's deceiving and easy to misjudge. I try to drop the hook and get set up while there's still a little twilight.
