Let there be ice!

Being from Kentucky we normally don't get good ice down here. I am wondering how cold and long conditions need to be to create good ice on Erie

A good month of 20 at night or lower and barely above freezing daytime, less snow the better. This year doesn't seem to have enough to make a go, but maybe, just maybe, we'll get on ponds.
