Vermillion Perch

Two of us fished NNE of the river entrance Monday in 34 FOW. Started at 12:30 pm, finished before 4:30 pm. Two tickets, 20+lbs. Some trash, some little perch, but all in all good fish, biggest 12".

The wife and I fished north of the Castle in 38fow. Got our limit Sat.and Sun. Nice fish.

Do y'all launch from downtown Vermilion ? Where in reference and distance is it from the break wall ? I've been out of there twice walleye fishing out by the weather buoy so not too familiar with the area.

Just go out- and look for the pack of boats- there is always one out there 2 miles from shore.

If you look east you will also see a pack generally off of VOL and the Condo's.

We generally fish by ourselves- however if I fish in the pack, I motor around watch the screen, perch usually hang close to the bottom, and look for jerks- plenty of jerks out there.( Just joking, look for people catching and not just watching)
