We make annual trips from west of Chicago. Last year got caught in the mayfly hatch. Talk about getting shut down..... This year we're a bit early,
(5-12 thru 5-22) from what I've been reading. Gold harnesses and weight forwards are the plan but seems like we might possibly be at the tail end of the jig season. I really believe the fish should be turning on "any day". Looking forward to reading this weekends posts. Sincere thanks to all who post any quality info. It's a VERY big lake out there. I will post a report every day we return. We typically fish between Kelly and put in bay or North of Kelly drifting. 21' G3, midnight blue and gold. Handle is "Bazooka Joe".
