Lakeside Report
Friday5/13. Trolled around the outside of the pack just east of Starve Island in 25-30 feet of water. Fish were a little scattered but great quality. Fat post spawn females 23-27 inches with a few 17 inch jacks mixed in. Sunny day so chrome bandits were on the menu. Variations of gold chrome worked best. 50-80 back, around 1.6 mph. Fun to watch my first time walleye fishing buddy reel in that 27 incher for a near Fish Ohio catch. Chatter on channel 79 had rumors of spoons starting to work but nobody really confirming that. Thanks to Captains Juls & Porkchop for providing the starting points for the winning program of speeds & leads on my boat.
