perch fishing? there is so good spots for spring perch fishing around the buffalo area just my guess

Jeff. I'm not sure but a few years ago, in a past life, when I worked for Bethlehem Steel / Lack. Coke. I use to go up on the top of the slag piles ( what a view )and saw boats anchored off the the port side of the south shipping channel. If you would go from the south gap to the mid channel marker ( which isn't there anymore ) about a mile or two out. There were perch there at one time. ????

if I remember right it close to line around 45-48 fow straight out south gap I think the shipping lane is around there
also some current
