Depends on the waves. If it's calm your inside board can be 30 ft out, but in rough seas I run them back further to keep them from jumping the waves.
I run my deepest lines inside and shallow... -

Use the red clip with the tit on it or the Off Shore OR16 clips and loop your line around the clip in the rear so you won't loose the board.....unless the line breaks.

We were out last Thurs afternoon out of Meinke's about 3.5 mi north west when we found some clean water.
We trolled along the murky edge and picked up 8 nice ones. -

We got run off the range last year and we NOT EVEN IN IT.. Our GPS clearly put us outside the firing range and we just kept on trolling.

Got my boat in today
Took my boat to the dock today and after getting all the lines set for tying it up we decided to take her out for a shake down cruise.
Guy next dock over had just come in after 6 hrs and had 3 they... -

I have been getting my boat ready to take to my dock at Meinke's but with the rain coming this week and next I may just keep it covered for a bit longer.

Never really thought about it. I am 70 and I just reel them in no matter how far out they are. I never counted the cranks.
Only time I complain about it is when a big sheephead takes my Off Shore... -

Who knows? The walleye are up in the Maumee river earlier than normal but that may be because there was no ice to deal with and the river fishers could get out earlier. Temperature of the water makes...

We fished yesterday in 2-4ft waves and a strong wind from the WNW. Got our limit. The bellys of the cleaned fish were not full of mayflies. Will be hitting it again Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Thursday morning north of Turtle Creek in 25 FOW. Tried casting, pulling 3oz bottom bouncers for an hour. Caught one 17" walleye. Everyone around us was trolling.

Winds were 12-15 knots SSE today and I have a 252 Sportcraft and turned around and tied back up at the dock. 3ft with an some 4's thrown in makes for uncomfortable rides and slow speeds means it...

I think 18 fish in 1 1/2hr is doable depending on the day and time of day. I don't fish that far east but there are days where we have limited early but more days where we fished all day.
