We routinely run harnesses and cranks at 2.5mph during the summer. But we are using double willow blades. I have heard of guys running the willows up to 3.5mph too. But the Colorado blades top out...

The nets people are talking about avoiding are the commercial fishing nets. The net stakes on charts can be disregarded. You can actually run over a commercial net and most likely not be an issue....

We would get an assortment of 5/8,3/4 and 1 oz hair jigs.Favorite colors are purple, green and black.Also get jigs with a small stinger treble off jig hook.
