ice fishing this weekend?

I realize im dreaming even asking this.... Is ice fishing season over? We have trip planned for sat/sun but I assume we couldnt travel on ice even if ice was still good.

yo wondering the same thing very few people responding posts these days I guess nobodies fishin. probably going 2 have 2 call Richards 2 c whats going on. f I hear anything will let u know

Was up Tuesday 03/10 with experienced locals, west of Green island / North of Camp Perry area, about 5 miles out. Ice was in good condition and locals said it would probably be good rest of week. I would guess after Friday will begin the "day-to-day" end of season time. Warm weather is what people think of but the wind direction and speed is the real ice fishing killer. Once the ice begins to crack and separate it's no longer safe to go out because you may not get back in. The ice may still be plenty thick but the separating sheets make travel uncertain. Get a report from someone up there. Conditions change by the day.

Was out of crane creek yesterday and travel on the ice was fine. Got around in two wheel drive for the most part. Went about 5 miles out. No big cracks yet but like somebody said, ones the ice starts moving you could get stranded.
