Noobie blues
So, first, my report. Trolled off the golf course out of Dunkirk last sunday night. Marked fish in 25 to 30 feet of water and hit them with harnesses off the boards 130 feet back and reef runners/Long A's on the lead core 1.8 to 2.2 mph. Fished from 7 pm to 12 midnight. No takers. Saw other boats in shallower with a couple in where I was.
Has been a rough first year of learning lake erie's eastern basin. Sad to say I've yet to boat a legal eye. Have all the gear and none of the no how. Have learned that most walleye fisherman can be pretty tight lipped on tips so was glad to find this forum.
Off to the west coast next week then back for more. If anyone has any pointers they'd like to share, I'm all ears. Humbling!!!
