Heading to Western Basin Lake Erie for the ole walleye. Need advise on
tackle. Does 6 to 12# flourocarbon sound about right?? For trolling... a
medium and light medium 7' graphites. For spinning... 7' light and light medium with 6 and 8# flouro. In regards to lures...broken-back Rebels.. colors are clown (red head/yellow body), silver w/black back, green and chartruese, light green walleye color, and perch?? Also silver/black back, crawdad, and shad Rat-L-Traps. Plus have a dozen lures coming from Cabelas...divers...5' to 12'. Also a handful of Rostertails for the smallmouth.
Flying from Southern Calif to Omaha and joining nine "fish-crazy" Nebraskans
so don't want to coming in 10th place which also means probably 10th in poker too!. Need your help. We will be at Put-In-Bay from April 18th to the 26th. I assume walleyes should be good by then but what about smallmouth the latter part of April??
