Lol. I'm not gonna make excuses for my mistake. Funny though I make a quick freestanding heart shot on a doe. But screw up this shot. Oh well he wasn't that big. I've been seeing him. I won't make that mistake again.

I did that bow hunting , hit a fox 2X at 15yds then 10 min. later missed an 8 pt at 12yds over his back!

Well one thing I've learned over the years is that there are no gimmies when shooting at a deer. (bow or gun) No matter how close they are you still have to hunker down and squeeze off the shot. Been there myself and learned it the hard way!

Yeah I'm thinkin. It was a fast shot, he came across my tree orchard. He wasn't gonna stop, so I mouth bleated to him and he finally stopped but was ansy. Pretty sure I shot just over the top of his back. Stupid me. Oh well. I'd rather have jumped the trigger and missed than made a bad shot and wounded him
