Good news Good news, I was able to get into the stand today, and I hit a 4 or 6 pt jus a lil far back (I think?) so we'll let him lay up for the night and look in the morning. Oh and Copo I prefer my Savage ML10II but you cant top the rifle.

Awesome news Jim. Hope you can recover ur buck. Had a bad wind this evening deer came out late, then I got winded by a doe. Nice gun, are you shooting smokeless powder?

yes IMR 4227 48 Grains with 300 Grain SST

Fishkiller,wtg if you need any help recovering your deer let me know, good luck with it.

I like hunting with my muzzleloader 50 cal. knight or Nef.huntsman.They are all I 've used the last 4-5 yrs. I just ordered a 20 ga. rifled barrel for the huntsman & am looking foreward to hunting with it. Also like useing the Browing 30-06 . I agree can't beat the rifle to reach out & touch em"! Hunted yesterday for the first time & saw 2 bucks/ 1 doe with no shots.

Well we never found the deer it snowed about 1.5" over night up there and covered everything up looked for 3 hrs this morning and found one more small area of blood but nothing else.

Its pretty sore and a lil swolen but ill be back in the stand tomorrow.
