I fished conesus lake this past weekend, so I did some research on it before wetting my line. Dec did a electro survey on that lake and recorded walleye in the 15-18lb ranges. My friend where I stayed at said in the spring they stack up in the inlet to spawn like cord wood. And they're huge. That lake has a huge alwive population, so the fish just gorge themselves. But there's so much food that it's hard to catch anything there. He told me that when trolling for a couple hrs you usually snag at least 2 dozen alwives. That's how thick they are. But the dec's surveys show that there are record breaking eyes right here in ny.
