Got a handful out of the catt 52 fow veer slight to right heading out look for boats and you'll be in the neighborhood. Did a relaxed start no rush capt joe was working and weather looked great, but once we got on fish the wind blew 42 boats out when we started but in less than an hr 20 left. Lake went from ripples to almost 2 ft with small white caps. The anchor wouldn't hold so it messed it up. Did hit one hell of a schools of white perch they were a fun pain. Guess i gotta let capt joe off the hook can't blame it on his days off for poor weather anymore, who my kiddin yeah i can lol. Good luck all smashem. Night bite in a wk!

Can anyone tell me the differance between the white perch & the white bass ?? People say the white perch taste as good as the yellow perch. I would like to try some. Bailey , to bad the lake screwed you up, could have been a good day.

copo what ever happened to the sliver bass runs that occurred in Dunkirk, foot of ferry in bflo. and the lower niag. river. I can remember as a kid all I needed was a five gal. pal and a hand full of marabou jigs and it was a blast - we didn't see many if any white perch - I heard they bread into the white perch or became a white perch by breeding with another fish. I really don't know would you?

That I don't know but I remember catching silver bass on harnesses pretty much anywhere under 20 fow when I was a kid. I picked a few up last year around the break walls. White perch I've caught were always out deeper. Not sure what relation the two are or aren't but white perch are actually members of the bass family. Fishkiller might be able to shed some more light on the subject. He's out trolling and fishing more. I've noticed I've caught less sheepshead recently too. Drifting, trolling, jigging.
