All worm harnesses. Various colors. We were using 4 dipsys. I have an old harness with a skirt / black and white strips. Sometime like the ito flies. Something like Mr. Fishkiller sells seemed to get many hits. Trolled 1.9 mom

Thanks guys, became ill, never made it out. But still had to go to camp to pull my lift out of the water. closing down next weekend, then hopefully I an get out there and get on some fall Eyes and Perch. Never did the fall Sturgeon Perch thing, heard it can be great. After the DISMAL Eye action on Chautauqua this summer I need some action! Caught 8 nice keepers, dumped about a dozen or so keepers at the boat or damn near it, and caught about 20-30 fish between 10" and 17", casted about 740,000 times, and logged in about 300 hours......Bad, bad, bad. The most disturbing thing I noticed out there this year is the staggering numbers of Cormorant. They are pretty much out of control now, I have a REAL BAD feeling about that lake. They've decimated other lakes before, lakes that were MUCH bigger than Chautauqua! Everyone on the lake I talked to were saying this is the worst year they have ever seen out there in all their lives, I fear it may already be to late. Everyone has their theories there as to why the fishing stunk this year, that's mine. Chautauqua has always been a test tube for a million people who have nothing but their own agendas at heart, and somehow she has always managed to stay a viable fishery, but this problem is something that is out of anyone's control, except of course our state , which is basically useless anyway. Status quo here in NY, wait till it's to late, then try to fix it. That's what they did on Oneida Lake, waited till the lake was a dead sea , THEN funded cormorant control. Took nearly 15 years to bounce back, then in 2014 they cut funding. The same thing will surely happen again if left unchecked. As for Chautauqua Lake? I have a bad feeling the only thing you will be able to catch there is those stupid Muskies and swarms of dink perch. I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for listening to my rant...

Your rant is well deserved. I went out of Dunkirk Harbor several time this year. The break walls were lined with cormorants. Scary.????

Have gone up to the GTA on the QEW through Hamilton? Just as you approach the Bay bridge the break walls and islands painted white by those birds. From the rocks to the defoliated trees they park themselves on. So it's all over. At least they won't choke on any microbeads.
