Sparrow - Traditionally the walleye fishing stays good thru the end of September until the Eastern Basin gets that one big blow that seems to make the lake all one temperature. Once that happens, the fishing is a bit more difficult due to the fish being spread out thru the water column. Years ago I was catching walleye after the blow with 109 feet of cable out on the riggers. Bottom line - walleye are still catchable in the Fall, just a bit difficult to pinpoint where they are at in the water column.
