When the cold winds blow and we're covered up in snow,
I’ll be on the ice a' Fishin’, down through a hole.
When the ice goes out and the days get hot
I’ll be out there a fishin’, in the same damn spot.

Ok we know in the summer months when capt joe is off the lake will be rough and winds high. So how do we link this weather to him I know some how it's tied to him.

I like your rod holder idea, are they just conduit screwed to wood thru the bottom & how far apart are they? What kind & size are the wider oblong blades & are they single or double bladed hanness you use. Thanks for any info. There were alot of bad ice mounds out of SP last wk.

Rod Holders...
1 1/2" sced 40 PVC 12" long
I spaced mine 4" but I think 4.5" would be better for the bigger trolling reels.
Screw holes, first one 1" up from bottom, and 2nd one 1" above that, on the PVC.
I pre-drilled the holes in the PVC to keep it from splitting or breaking, and used 3" deck screws to attach to wood barn frame. The pre-drilled holes are just barely bigger than the OD of the deck screw shafts.
Harnesses..
I usually run 2 willow blades, my favorites being 4 or 4 1/2's.
I make some 5's, but not a lot of them.
I was looking at those blades that bailey has in his signature. I like some of them, and may order some soon ( Like I need some more). I like the Whip Tails, and Hatchets. I don't have many hatchets, and I think the lure vibrations they have may be the ticket on a slower day.....

B3B, thanks for the info. Is Bailey a local dealer for those blades?
