Yea for sure, sort of miss being out there but its nice being on the inside also. I was always good during day light hrs. but got a bit loggy around 2 am. after a day or two. The novlety wears off fast. BUT, the pay checks were nice the next week! One ice storm we were in O.P. Eagle hts. a guy pulls up next to me in his Lincoln puts down his power window & says " when is my power coming back on?" Now me being out there for 3 days stright in knee deep snow with 3" ice crusted on top to break through with every step just looked at him & said " MR. I have been out here for 3 days I don't give a sh!t if you ever get power !" He put up his window & drove off.

Ha ha nice lol I'll give you credit sure some restraint was used to limit it to saying just that . I give line crews lots of credit to work in conditions that aren't fit for man or beast. People seem to just look at the easy days those crews work thinking they are over paid. I'd love to see those people out working on days like you just said. I'm sure the complaints would be non stop. Things we take for granted i guess.
