Fished today, boated 9 & threw 2 bigger ones (9+) back. the smaller ones taste better. Had to be 60 -70 boats out today fishing the condo/borderline area. Done til next week (Mon.) good luck you week enders!

Hi everyone, haven't had much to report yet this year as I've only been out twice. We boxed a nice one and lost a couple others at the boat a few weeks back off the windmills. Got out last night and am curious to see how anyone else did closer to Buffalo. Don't know if it was the East wind or what, but other than white perch and sheephead we got blanked on the walleyes.
Tried off the Departure Buoy and marked some bait with a couple nice hooks but then they were gone; tried Seneca Shoals, and even back to the windmills, but nothing. It was strange. Not many other boats out there which should have been a clue, but the ones that were I didn't see having any action either. Lineman it looks like you did well, I probably should have fished deeper out along the fence. Saw a cluster of boats way on the horizon and didn't go out that far, but probably should have...
Anyone else get any closer to the city? I feel like they still should have been there, although perhaps they just weren't... Just looking for any guidance to help me with the learning curve!

Nate D, if your getting sheephead try picking up your speed a bit,(2 -2.4 sog) might help. Also go where the boats are. Good luck!

Thanks lineman, my wonderful wife actually said I can head out for another try tonight so I may give it a shot if the conditions are alright. Probably will start around the departure buoy and head west unless anybody else has any suggestions! Just have to avoid the Canadian waters, though.

if you get a chance to get in that boat make sure he has a sandwitch and a beer for you
