Mine are homemade also. I was gonna build a set as I have plans saved in my computer for them but ended up buying mine in the package deal. I'll post the plans when I get home from work today. There's a wide array of wood that can be used for boards. And everyone is bias to them floating high or sitting low for more bite.
I've never used inlines. Only big boards.

I don't think the plastic ones will ride right and bite enough. You don't want them to start hopping out of the water with 3 lines on them each when it gets a little wavy. They are fairly simple to make. One long board, a miter or circular saw, drill and some threaded rod, nuts and eyelets and your fishing

my one handicapp
i troll with a electric trolling motor 55 lb. trust (i bring an x-tra battery) and troll with the current. against the current i can troll at 1.6 mph. ea battery will last 4-hrs ea. when both are spent i use my 115 (i know not so great) but i throw it in and out of gear - i won't back troll, no transom back splash guard, i do have a drift bag that i will use tomorrow (waves less than 1 ft.)
so yes its ugly and i'm jimmying my troll until i get a kicker next year but, my boat is fairly light 18' lund w/85" beam - she skiny.
any thoughts here

I use a model called Super Ski. They actually belong to my cousin in law. What i like about them is that they fold up. Making them more easily storred.as far as i'm concerned they work great. I'm not sure even if they are still available. ??

Walleye
Fished 1/2 day yesterday in 58-60 fow out of SP on fench @ condos. Boated 6 eyes. One of them had the virus. The inside of fillets looked like old freezerburn. Dried up orangeish spots. Matches the virus report in the Fishline article. All good size fish except for one, Dipsey's and riggers. 30-40 ft. down on dipseys and popping riggers. Boards next week. Going to Cooperstown to watch grandson (Ty-Lure) play in tourament and check out hall of fame. Given the fish a break. "Good Fish'n Everyone......."
