Well our total for today was 37.72 lbs for a 2 day total of 80.30 lbs, and that was enough to keep us on top for day 2. The 2nd place team was 1.3 lbs behind us. We ended up with 45 Walleyes in 3 days of fishing. This was the same school of fish we were on for the Southtowns Tourney.

Try all three if it works jump on that set up run rigger 130 or so back 5 ft from bottom or closer if comfortable. As soon as funds available i am doing more with big boards, like getting them ha ha. I have got fish on all but jets is what i have not torpedoes, yet that is sunday will be my next outing. Its a work thing, last sat landed three lots of hooks but lots fell off, when the blow came thru fish went nuts and my copilot had is going every way imaginable lol. Dad is 70 so i cant complain he has fun. Still trying to teach an old dog new tricks ha ha.

I'm liking these reports! My new prop will be at my doorstep Friday. And Friday at 530pm also starts my vacation! Woohoo!! I can fish when I want for 9 days! Hopefully it doesn't blow so I can get out.
Bailey have you been watching Craigslist for boards? I scored the deal of the summer this spring from there. The guy had a listing for portable downriggers and boards. He emailed me a pic of the stuff. When I got to his house I gladly gave him the $125 he was asking. They weren't portable, but were 3 ft boom Mac jac riggers with swivel bases, 6 10lb cannonballs and a Willes planer mast spooled and spring mounted pulleys. With some really nice big boards.
Also are you guys sharpening your hooks on ur harnesses? I see alot of you guys losing fish. I've also noticed that the hooks on the harnesses are not that sharp. I always carry a small flat file and a hook stone with me. I make sure my hook points feel sticky sharp when you lightly drag your finger across them.(you'll know exactly what I mean when it's sharp enough). You have to figure Most these eyes aren't slamming these harnesses from the side and turning away. More likely coming up from behind and grabbing them. Now add the slack from the riggers or the boards and you don't have good penetration of the hook. A sticky sharp hook will sink right in past the barb with the fishes weight usually.
Just something I thought I'd share since hook sharpness is almost always overlooked. And these triple d harnesses from dicks have really dull hook points.
