    Bailey - This double sucks!
Fishon51 - yesterday I was at the boat making adjustments, tweaking equipment etc. Like you were. I didn't see you at the harbor.
My next door neighbor Ed was changing his impeller on his small trolling motor. He is a member of the Southtowns Walleye Assoc.. I don't know his last name. I could make a guess but I would butcher it up. After he left we noticed that his bellows had a rip in it. I would hate for him to go there and but his boat in the water and start sinking. I stoped at the guard house and let them know and to try to contact him. They did not have a updated list of the Dry Dock people. Any one reading this if you know Ed let him know.

What a wasted weekend for fishing but got some yard work done between rain storms. Damn I wanted to put some eyes in the boat.

    Default Full or half crawler

A Canadian friend of mine suggested cutting the night crawler in half so there is not so much hanging out, but I tend to like nice big fat juicy crawlers hooked on all 3 hooks (on the worm harness). Anybody out there have any comments ?

I like a whole crawler myself with a little tail hanging off the last hook. Waving at the fish. But if it's too long you'll miss fish with short strikes. So if the worm is long I loop the worm on one hook. Just doesn't seem a half a crawler will cover all the hooks enough

I like 2 hook harnesses . I put the back hook in the collar of the worm & the front hook in the tip of the nose .If the worm is extra long I use a trailer hook in the tail end & try to get it to run without spinning in the water. I like Three D & Hi Tech. harnesses.

    Default Pretty windy

Despite my better judgment I did go out today out of SBH. I started at the int'l marker buoy (42 fow) and started trolling into a stiff west wind toward Seneca Shoals at 2 mph. It was so windy that it was hard to keep my 14' boat on course. I had to be on the motor 100% of the time. Despite that, I fished 2 hrs with no luck. Buoy station 45142 said winds were 17.5 kts and 2foot waves. ********, they were 4' easy. Maybe they are talking about the peak wave levels not the peak to trough.
