I too run a treble trailer. #4 mustad off any the wire 2 hook harnesses with a peice off 50# spectra. There teeth seem to raise hell with anything else after few fish, plus I like the loose flexibility of the braid when crawler is hooked and less affect on-the baits action. Sticks I run have the hooks they come with (junk) removed and have #4 or #2 mustad hooks instead. Huge difference in staying sharp and bending. Good discussion

Seaguar Blue Label 20# is holding up well with over a dozen fish caught on it so far.

I find the fall walleye are putting up more of a fight then the summer ones did which were more like reeling in a wet rag.

The biggest problem I have is with the dipsy divers tangling...how do you get them to run straight back with the weight on zero?

I use to have the same problem with them twisting. ???? I couldn't figure it out. BUT I did. Listen to Fishkiller. I put them out using the clicker and I haven't had a tangle since. Anchor Wheel also used this method. He has really perfected the use of dipsys. He runs two each side with great success. I have incorporated his system with good numbers.

Also check the charts you may be hitting bottom which may cause them to tangle. ????

Yah...I know what saying. If I run any it's usually straight off the rear quarter's. I run snap releases with the center pin (bailey) so I can run more or as much leader as I want. That's maybe my issue.

If your Dipsy's are twisting and tangling your letting them out too quick. Turn your clickers on, thumb the spool and slowly let them out.

They don't tangle up right away or all the time, 2-poles one in each corners of the stern at a upward 45deg angle, perpendicular to the stern, Clickers are on, set as slow as I can get them with the clickers on (which is pretty slow)...thumbs is used if needed.

They don't track straight back when on zero, they tend to go toward each other even when the boat is going straight....how slow should I let them out 180ft?

why not run them on 0.5? That should keep them away from the nearest rigger, and away from the 2.5 or 3.0 diver that's outside of it? I've never tried to run one on 0......

Haven't fished Erie since spring, anything going on at all out of Buffalo? Cant get my boat on and off of my boat lift at Chautauqua because the waters so low, so looking for somewhere to possibly get on some fish. ANY info greatly appreciated.
