First time out this year and it sure was nice to be fishing again. Parking lot was full of trailers. Sturgeon had 2 docks (3 lanes) in and my 19 ft IO had no problem getting in/out with the sand. Very foggy today, even with bright sunshine, would have been pretty screwed without gps to get home. We stopped at the convention about 1 mile out around 8:30am and I counted 20 boats out there even with fog, nobody catching much fish and we caught 1 perch and 1 smallmouth, then moved further out to a spot where 1 other boat was I've tried before and caught about 25 perch, quit before noon. Not great but still good. (we started that spot about 9:30am) Rumor is that sturgeon will be closed soon for dredging. Water temp was 37 degrees. That bass I pulled up from 55 ft was as pale as some inner cave fish, really weird and eyes bulging out from pressure. It floated quite a while before reviving enough to swim down.
Unbelievable march day of fishing nice weather, calm seas awesome!
So I noticed people netting minnows by the docks, anyone know how long that goes? Also are they there right at dawn?

The lake hit 40° today. We went on a shakedown run yesterday in my buddies starcraft. The lake was dead calm. We launched at small boat harbor and ran out towards seneca shoal, there were about 40 boats out there perch fishing. It felt like late june out there.
