2018 Buffalo area fishing reports..........

9 walleye, 1 perch today NE out of Sturgeon Point only a few miles. All on worms, dipsys, 6 and 5 color.

forgot to mention I was in 48 to 52 ft of water.

Also forgot to mention I never got 6 lines out. Too busy. I fished with 4 poles.

Where's the departure buoy?

As far as I know the departure buoy is gone, not there anymore. It was a red and white buoy that led boats into taking a route into Buffalo by the North and South gaps. It was about 5 miles out of the center gap. Check an old map or chart.

fished out of Dunkirk today - 15 walleye - got stopped twice by the DEC. We must have done so good the first time they came back to talk and joke with us again.

the buoy is gone it was straight out the south gap a little to the right near the Canadian line
