As you know the lake was flat this morning and the only thing stirring were the muckleheads. In spite of all the adversities, my granddaughter Elena on her first walleye trip caught a 22" and 25" walleye and a 27.5 inch 8 lb steelhead from 45' down off the downrigger on a Bumblebee Stinger spoon using light spinning tackle. It danced on the water 4 times but she played the fish to perfection. All I did was coach and net. I now have a fishing partner any time she is free. For us it was still a great day of fishing.
