Auxillary motor on all boats
Put a 9.9HP 4 cyl. OB on your boat so you can always get back no matter what happens to your main engine is my advice. You won't need to use that expensive tow service again.

Be advised that insurance companies only pay typically $ 100 towards a tow bill...If your bill is more than that, too bad.Last edited by docwet; 06-24-2015 at 07:40 AM.

I have all my insurance with State Farm: House, office, rider for valuables, 2 cars, health and my 20' ProLine, new 150 E-Tec and trailer. Been with them for years. Lost a boat years ago and they even covered the deductible so I could be up and running in no time. The boat, motor and trailer insurance costs me $308 and it includes towing on land and at sea wherever I am in the continental U.S. and that included my trip to the Outer Banks. The boat policy also covers all my tackle, electronics and misc. equipment. The last time I was towed, I paid the $400+ tow with a credit card and received a check from my State Farm agent the same day. Check it out. Bundling can save a bundle.
