Anyone ever go out of the central this early? Ever do any good and if so, what's your strategy?

Hey Nick,

I haven't and don't know on Central. But, the water temp at Ashtabula shows only one degree colder than Huron today. There have to be some resident fish there and also here in Western NY. I'm going to fish Barcelona, NY in May for the first time this year. Our season opens 5/1. The charters start in Central and here in Eastern in June. So we should be able to catch fish in May. I assume shallower waters than summer of course. Barcelona water temp is only 4 degrees colder than Ashtabula today.
