Fall Brawl lockdown

Seems like no one had been fishing lately. ORRRR we are in the middle of October and no one wants to give up their hot spots!!!

Finally get to get out tomorrow and will likely head out of mentor to try for some eyes… any suggestions? Thinking 55ish to start….

I managed 1 fish from 7am-1pm…. Fish were all over the screen from 48-65…. Threw everything I had at them… got 1 on a bandit 53fow 95 on a 3 dipsey…. It was a frustrating day with a screen full of fish all day….

What was your speed? I've been hearing they have been doing well at slower speeds....1.3-1.5mph.

Spent most of my time between 1.6 - 1.9…. Tried faster and slower, but didn’t hold a 1.3 for very long …

Fished out of Lorain Monday & Tuesday. Got a late start Monday due to a minor motor problem. Only managed 3 fish Monday fished till dark. Went back Tuesday. 2 man limit all nice 23"-28". 52 feet depth. 2.1 to 2.4 mph. All on Bandits Fermi, Big Bad Bill, Black Chrome 115' to 125' back no weight. Started at the 27/15 worked the area to the north and east. Best time was 3pm to 4:30 pm. I don't fish the brawl so maybe this report from two old guys helps someone who does.

Good job sailfish. We got 20 on Tuesday by 1pm trolling north from 31-13 line all on bandits mostly chrome . Best lead was 100' back no weights. All keeper's no junk fish.
