Ashtabula Walleye Small Boat 9-13-20
went out to 67 FOW at 8:30 a.m. trolled north and east to west at 2.7 using 3 oz. weight bandits and a spoon
after 4 hours 1 hit. it ran for 3 seconds then gone. started to reel in line suddenly on again ran again for 3 seconds then gone for good
might have been a drum. slowed engine let lures fall to bottom yet no hits
at 12:30 had to try something different changed to 5 OZ. weights at 71-72 FOW
over next 3 hours 6 keepers 4 got off and 1 16" throw back
5 walleye 21-22"
1 walleye 24"
the lake was rough all day constant 2 footers and heavy chop. once an hour you get a set of 4-5 foot waves
it has been 71-73 FOW all of September bigger fish at that depth
last 3 trips 21" are the small keepers 24 27 28" have been the bigger walleye
