New guy in Huron/Rye Beach
Hey all. Just bought a summer cottage in Rye Beach in May. I launch out of the Huron river or Cranberry. Been doing real good on the perch so far. I have not targeted the Walleyes yet but I hope to soon. This will be new fishing for them on LE. I have jets, DDivers, reef runners, Erie Dearies, jigs, crawler harneses, rods with line counters, botton skippers other deep runners, Vib-Es and my boat is a 17 foot Boston Whaler with 50 Merc and Lowrance with gps. What months are good, what depths, what rigs. I want to try a fast run to Cedar Point at sundown and troll home. Can you experts advise? I am a retired Coastie and can go out almost any day. A note saying get up here now, they are running hot would be nice. Thanks for any response. Fred.
