Hi Shed, sorry for the delayed response.
From what I'm learning Sportcraft might be top of the line for our kind of fishing. Cuts trough chop very well and still stable fishing platform at drift or slow troll.
Grady's seems to be very nice too. I've been reading up on them and might ride a little rougher in the chop. But huge fishing space, back end of those are like a dance floor.24' Caravelle

No worries Skinny and I think you are right - leaning Sportcraft. My friend has a Parker on Lake Ontario, great boat, not quite sure about the pilot house set-up though. I hear the Grady's are solid, but not as smooth as the Sportcraft.
If I had more time and ambition I would consider redoing a Penn Yan, maybe someday.
