The best Walleye bite in 2 months
Yesterday I perch fished north of Big Pickerel and Cone with moderate success/9 lbs at the cleaner, but saw quite a few good marks that looked like walleye. So this morning I decided to take a ride and do a little scouting. There was decent pack of boats perch fishing and trolling in that area by the time got out, about 9:30, so I decided to start a little east of them and landed 3 in the first 30 minutes. Turned around made another pass, landed 2 more and lost 2 at the boat. Then the bite died for a bit, moved over north of Cone, nothing. Picked up moved back were I started, lost 1 more at the boat, then landed my 6th fish. Trolled deep Husky Jerks at 1.2mph. In the morning the first three fish came at 75 back, all the rest came at 55 back. Had a total of 13 fish on/ landed 6....not too bad for trolling 2 rods and forgot the net in 3 1/2 hrs fishing time. Not sure if I'm fishing tomorrow....good luck!
