Grass carp are supposed to be triploid and incapable of reproducing! With that being said there were reports either last year or the year before that they were found I believe in the Sandusky River and thru testing it was determined that the ones there that were caught were capable of reproducing in the wild. At that time they said that it was bad enough, but was not and would not be anywhere near as bad as having a breeding population of the other (Jumping) 2 species of Asian carp the Big Head species or the Silver Carp species in our Great Lakes In any event they do not belong in the Great Lakes.
