 Algae update
Well like I said there was algae and lots of it at C-Can last Saturday! Here is some more information on the subject. Also a link to the latest Sat image where you can see how bad it has gotten so far.

this is what the ramp at mazurics looked like today. Went east of Kellys today. There was algae everywhere I went. There were a few spots out from the airport on Kellys that I couldn't see the prop on the motor. Sorry about the sideways pic. Don't know how to fix it.

Lots of undersized walleyes east of Kellys. I only spent a little over 2 hours pulling spoons and caught 9 throwbacks and 1 keeper. 2 of the throwbacks were right at 15" and didn't want to take a chance keeping them. Got tired of that so I packed up and headed to Marblehead light house. Pulled 2 20"ers in an hour and 1 9"er out of 18' of water east of the lighthouse. Shortly there after the traffic got a little to heavy which killed the bite. Actually yesterday I fished straight out from Metzgers marsh and pulled my limit. Water didn't look good by any means between the nw wind and the algae but the fish didn't mind. I was done by 11:30.

I have a question guys, what effect does algae have on a boat motor, inboard, i/o outboard? Any corrosive effects?
