Emerald Shiners
If you happen to have a few dozen Shiners left over, put them in a plastic bag, on ice, 'til you get home. Add a few TBLS. table salt, nothing more. Gently squeeze out the air. Store them in the freezer for a few days or months. They will not form a solid block but they will be slightly pliable. They become sort of "mummified". Keep them on ice while transporting/fishing. Do not soak them in water and they don't re-freeze well...they get stinky, toss them out.
Use them on a spreader as usual.
