No propaganda in this thread...report was spot on! Limited out, and even culled a couple smaller fish, in 2.5hrs in the same area with a 16ft aluminum boat trolling cranks. Only if my Rott was legal to claim a limit I woulda stayed longer...that bite was furious!!!!!!

That area has been very very good the past 2 days . More then a few Charters working that area as well as a few of us local guys . We have been getting them on harnesses at 1.4mph . Mostly 17-20 inch fish with a few bigger and even more undersized eyes . Must of released 20 undersized eyes each day and not a lot of garbage in that area .

Wow fishead! That is nice to hear, sorry for any doubt. I'm hoping everything west of Sandusky Bay stays productive all summer long! It use to, you know...way back when.

The number of "shorts" caught in that area the end of last week is a good sign for things to come. We caught shorts ranging from 4 inches to 15 inches all hitting spoons pulled behind Trutrip 40's. No propaganda, the area has been on fire...

As dave said the fish was on fire. We worked together on both days and was done with limits quick. Sunday was the same. I didnt get them as fast as dave on sunday but did manage to get 1 over 30 inches as well as around 30 shorts on sunday.

bggeary, some fish always stay here West of the Island . Mostly of course the smaller 15-18 inchers . The area North of West Sister up to the Canadain line towards Middle Sister is good . Not fast and furious but limits can be had . Casting the Reefs and near shore rocky areas also is a good bet on nice nights . Some nights are very very good and some larger fish are also taken so they all dont head East .
