First time trolling
After aquiring all of the necessary gear {cha-ching}, I had my first opportunity Thursday to put it all to use. My brother and I motored out to an area NW of Kellys where there weren't many boats, but I marked a lot of fish. The wind was NNE about 10 mph. I set a course downwind toward the tip of South Bass. It was awkward at first, but we got the hang of handling the boards fairly quickly. It's a nice problem to have, but we had trouble keeping the boards in the water. Lots of junk fish, but enough walleyes to keep us on our toes. Ended up catching 16 walleyes and kept 10 nice eaters. A really fun, but exhausting day.
34 to 28 FOW
1.2 to 1.3 mph
6 ft. crawler harnasses with gold and pink #5 Colorado blades
1 oz inlines
25' to 30' back
35' to 40' out
Many thanks to all the people on this forum who helped. I wouldn't have had any idea how to get started.

Welcome to the trolling madness! It can be exhausting but I find it to be the most exciting and sometimes frustrating...lol....way to fish!

Glad you had a great catch and good time. It will get easier for each trip out for sure. I still get excited each trip. Sorry about the cha-ching factor..... It gets worse at times.
