With only moderate success the last few trips, this morning I decided to just run spoons because I really hadn't given them a chance. Starting just west of Starve I reef, about a quarter of a mile from the red buoy, my first mate Al Scott and I ran bright Michigan spoons on 5' leads off 40 Jets back 42' back from the Church Walleye boards at 1.7 mph. Just before 10:00 AM we had our 12 eyes trolling with the SE breeze WNW thru the passage, thru the ferry lanes and south of Green Island. Before you ask, the colors were Nascar, Flo Yager Bomb, Pink Panties and Mixed Veggies. The depth varied from 21' to 35'. The real beauty other than the nice fish was there was no traffic. There was no one within a mile of us but I'm sure that will change now that I dropped this valuable info. You're welcome.....
